LODGENET PROMOTES STEPHEN D. McCARTY
TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT SALES & HOTEL RELATIONS
Newly Formed Group To Manage All Phases Of Customer Acquisition, Maintenance And Retention
SIOUX FALLS SD, July 18,
2002 – LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation (NASD: LNET), the leading provider of
broadband, interactive television services to the hospitality industry, today announced the promotion of Stephen D.
McCarty to Senior Vice President of its newly formed Sales & Hotel
Relations organization.
A 10-year LodgeNet veteran,
McCarty will lead a group responsible for customer acquisition, management and
retention including contract sales, sales administration, account management
and customer lifecycle management.

include two equally important goals:
gaining new contracts, and nurturing existing customer relationships to
secure long-term renewals,” said Scott C. Petersen, President and CEO for
LodgeNet. “Mr. McCarty’s achievements eminently qualify him to lead this group
that will focus on the entire customer relationship and will represent the
customer within our company.”
Mr. McCarty joined LodgeNet
in 1992 as Texas Regional Sales Manager. After winning three consecutive
“Salesman of the Year” awards he was promoted to Director of Sales (Eastern
Region), then to field Vice President (Dallas) and since January 2000 has
served as Vice President Sales. Prior to joining LodgeNet, Mr. McCarty held
sales management positions with Spectradyne and HBO. He graduated with a
Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University.
