By April 2012

LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET), the leading provider of interactive media and connectivity services to hospitality and healthcare businesses and the consumers they serve, announced today they will be installing their EnvisionTM interactive HDTV systems in W Hotels across the United States under a recently-signed master services agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.

The installations – which have already begun and will extend through the first quarter of 2012 – will upgrade more than 8,000 guest rooms across the United States and will include LodgeNet’s eCompendium App, featuring:

  • Guest Info, which provides guests with valuable hotel and local information on an interactive basis, reducing the hotel’s marketing costs and environmental footprint

  • W Happenings Channel, playing hotel specific content with daily activities and hotel events

  • Wake-Up, which turns on the TV to wake guests at the time they choose

  • eCheckout through the TV, with a receipt e-mailed to the address the guest enters

  • The LodgeNet PowerPortalTM, a Web-based portal that equips each hotel’s staff to add, delete or update hotel managed content on its Envision system

Guests will also enjoy a wide range of on demand HD entertainment, including the best still-in-theaters Hollywood movies and much more. All Envision upgrades will include LodgeNet’s all-new remote control that features a full (“QWERTY”) keyboard for easier use of text intensive applications.

“We have been privileged to serve W Hotels brand for the past 13 years and we appreciate the opportunity they are giving us to greatly expand our Envision footprint,” said Scott C. Petersen, Chairman and CEO for LodgeNet. “Momentum behind Envision continues to build thanks to the unprecedented capabilities it offers hotels in expanding and deepening relationships with their guests. Envision installations are accelerating across the country and guest usage of Envision is outpacing our previous interactive HDTV platform by three to one.”
