LodgeNet Interactive Corporation (NASDAQ: LNET), the leading provider of media and connectivity solutions to the hospitality industry, announced today that its President of Hospitality, Scott E. Young, will be participating with other technology executives in a panel discussion at The Lodging Conference, being held September 22-25 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa in Phoenix, Arizona.
The session, entitled “Cutting Edge Technologies to Drive Revenue and Improve the Guest Experience,” is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 from 4:00 to 5:30 pm local time. Moderated by Glenn Haussmann, Editor in Chief of Hotel Interactive, the discussion will introduce attendees to the next generation of online strategies and technologies that will provide hoteliers with the tools they need to generate higher demand, convert more shoppers to bookers, and enhance the guest experience from booking online through check out, all while maximizing their hotel’s return on investment.
Scheduled to join Mr. Young on the panel are executives of six other hospitality technology companies including TravelCLICK, Pegasus Solutions and iBAHN.
Scott E. Young is responsible for managing LodgeNet’s Hospitality business including Guest Entertainment, TV Programming, Broadband Internet Solutions, and Professional Solutions. He joined LodgeNet as Senior Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer in August 2006 and was promoted to President of Hospitality while continuing to serve as Chief Marketing Officer. Prior to joining LodgeNet, Mr. Young held a variety of executive positions at Best Buy. He earned his Bachelors degree from Yale University and his M.B.A. from UCLA.
