TECHNICAL GENERALIST

Broadband Customer Support in Atlanta is seeking a qualified
applicant for the position of Technical Generalist. This
full-time, non-exempt position reports to the Manager- Technical Generalist.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing technical
phone support for the LodgeNet line of products and services including:
High Speed Internet Access, High Definition TV, Internet Enhanced Television.
Responsibilities also included are maintaining customer database files
and completing associated administrative reports. This position may
involve working day, mid or night shifts. All shifts require some weekend
and holiday duties to ensure 365 day coverage with a NEW PAY
SCALE and differential pay available for some responsibilities
and/or shifts.
Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following
minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.. Prefer candidates with two-year
electronics or computer degree or equivalent experience. Technical Call Center
experience with software and hardware knowledge is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requisite communication and customer service skills to work in a
Call Center.
- Good understanding of all PC Operating systems (Windows, Mac, and
Linux), basic Unix Commands, MATV, wireless networking, networking
and networking devices..
- Must also have the aptitude to learn new technology and be detail
and goal oriented.
- Prior experience in a call center supporting software
and hardware is a preferred.
