System Engineer 1

Software Engineering in Atlanta is seeking qualified candidates for
the position of System Engineer I. This is a full-time exempt position.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs the complex analysis, design, testing, and debugging of hardware
and networking products for Broadband development products. Builds
and maintains systems to support the development of complex software
applications.
Research and develop core operating systems, approve hardware platforms
for appliance solutions, provide input on new network products,
analyze infrastructure, provide direction for integration of devices
with the broadband appliance solutions.
Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following
minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Four-year technical degree (BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronic
Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software
Engineering, etc.)
- Two years relevant experience or four years equivalent technical
experience required. Experience working in a hardware or software engineering
environment.
- MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PowerPoint knowledge is required.
- Familiarity with the Unix Operating System and Unix scripting experience
is essential.
- Networking , debugging, and data-basing experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize and complete project tasks with minimal
supervision.
