Engineer I

Sustaining Engineering is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Engineer I.  This is a full-time, exempt position.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primarily function is ensuring the reliable operation of the existing base of LodgeNet and OnCommand system technology deployed in the field.  Works closely with Engineering       and Technology Development (ETD) to troubleshoot and resolve field issues.  Facilitates        communication between the Technical Operations Department (TOD) and ETD. 

Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Four-year technical degree or equivalent (BS in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.). 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience working in a Hardware or Software Engineering environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Unix Operating System and Unix scripting experience is beneficial.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to prioritize and complete project tasks with minimal supervision.
• Duties may also include some evening and weekend on call status.
