LodgeNet has been cited by the president of the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) for its assistance in delivering video content from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to hotels impacted by natural disasters earlier this year.
In his President’s Letter for the August 2011 issue of the AH&LA member newsletter, Joe McInerney wrote,
“LodgeNet, one of our most supportive allied members, assisted FEMA during several of this summer’s natural disasters that impacted most of the South and parts of the Midwest. Thanks to Vice President of Sales & Hotel Relations David Goldstone and President/CEO Scott Petersen for their offer to run FEMA messaging for the many residents who were displaced and staying at properties.”
The AH&LA is the sole national association representing all sectors and stakeholders in the lodging industry, including individual hotel property members, hotel companies, student and faculty members, and industry suppliers.
