ETD SOFTWARE SYSTEMS is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Software Application Engineer I. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Director, Product Systems & App Development.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include providing analysis, design, and extensive programming of software applications. Work in conjunction with other software applications development staff, project management, and product management in order to facilitate final product specifications. Involves modifying existing programs in order to change or enhance software products, in addition to creating new software. Responsible for documenting methods, procedures, and maintenance information regarding the programmed applications. Normally requires general instructions on routine work and more detailed instructions on advanced work.

Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• 4-year Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent experience is required

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have a good understanding of Software Engineering methodologies
• Must have a solid understanding of high level programming languages such as C/C++ in addition to knowledge of scripting languages such as HTML, PHP, and Flash Action scripting
• Must be a self motivated individual with a strong desire to learn new technologies
• Must have a competent level of oral and written communication skills
• Must be a team player and with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
