THE HOTEL NETWORKS Sales and Marketing Department is seeking a qualified candidate for a Sales Assistant position in New York, NY. This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position requires the Sales Assistant to operate at the highest professional level and be the extension to the Account Management staff, to the client and or agency contact. Provide general support to the advertising sales team to ensure the timely and accurate ordering, confirmation and billing of advertising schedules with current and prospective advertisers. Receive and review contract confirmations, generate research materials, charts, tables and graphs for sales presentations. Work closely with the THN team on special projects/assignment as requested; produce letters, research prospective agency and client contact information. There are periodic outside travel/presentations that may include some overnight or weekend trips.

Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Two-year related degree with two years related experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or work experience
• Previous experience in media sales, marketing or advertising experience in the national broadcast, cable or OOH industry is preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Position requires exemplary written and verbal communication skills, and superior organizational and time management skills
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-point and Outlook
• Well informed of national media and audience research resources such as Nielsen and MRI
