IT PROJECT MANAGEMENT is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Senior Director, IT Business Systems.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will be responsible for the management of Information Technology projects that involve development of Software and Hardware that are used in support of LodgeNet business processes, internal and external products. These projects involve a significant amount of interdepartmental, customer and vendor coordination. This position will manage these projects throughout the entire development lifecycle and execution of the project. The management of the projects will include defining the scope, planning, construction of the project team, development of the budget and timeline, collection and management of requirements, functional and technical design, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, deployment and post production support. The Project Manager will be the key contributor and focus for communication within the team and to the external customer. This position will ensure approval of plans at each milestone and prior to significant project plan changes and will be responsible for managing the projects within scope, timeline and budget.
Candidates considered qualified for the position will possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- A four-year business, computer science or related degree with at least two years experience in the area of Project Management or equivalent field is required or the equivalent education and/or work experience
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are required with the ability to give oral presentations and facilitate meetings
- Must have strong initiative, organization and work follow-up skills
- Must have a desire to work with people and the ability to motivate and challenge individuals to meet development commitments
- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills, be organized and pay close attention to details
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Project-scheduling applications (preferable MS Project) is required in performing the project management tasks
